Some of us do suffer from curiosity. Show us only the tusk, and our minds become restless trying to fathom the nature and purpose of the beast. | [reply] |
Some of us do suffer from curiosity.
I would like a 128-bit integer math library so that I can do 128-bit integer math.
I asked "Is there a module available for doing this?". Answers include: 'yes' or 'no'
That is the beast.
"I don't know why anyone would want 128-bit integer math!" commentaries were not sought nor are they helpful.
Examine what is said, not who speaks -- Silence betokens consent -- Love the truth but pardon error.
"Science is about questioning the status quo. Questioning authority".
In the absence of evidence, opinion is indistinguishable from prejudice.

All I saw was genuine curiosity, which I would expect when you are doing something a bit unusual. I was thinking the same thing -- what are you going to be using this for? There is a social aspect to PM!

Yeah, but if one did exist, you would want to know how to find it, right? But you didn't actually ask that. Technically, "yes" and "no" are the only answers. So offering suggestions, possibilities, and even volunteering to help -- those too were also technically not sought!?!
And how many people read this thread out of curiosity? The helpful answers likely came as a result of that! You're like a coiled snake, striking at anyone and everything! Try and relax and kick back a bit!
