Do you know where your variables are?

EU::MM: Set env. variable for "make test" ?

renodino has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I'm seeking a way to specify an environment variable to automagically get defined for the "make test" process.

FYI: I'm using Perl solely to test some C/C++ packages, which need to do their own thing wrt signals. So I want to set PERL_SIGNALS=unsafe. Ideally that could be defined by the test harness before it forks off the test processes.

Is there an EU::MM parameter to do that ? If not, perhaps one of the alternate builders (Module::Build) can ?

Look at what Test::Manifest does to alter how tests are run. You can change what gets generated in the Makefile for the test target by overriding MY::test_via_harness().
