I must admit every time I open a page here, I marvel at what a great site this is, but it was especially nice, Ivanhout, for you to post the sentiment. Considering the state of the rest of the web, this place is much like an unspoiled temple and it must emit some kind of aura to that effect.
Also thanks is due to those few who are always helping and explaining, in the most polite and professional manner -- this has brought me a long way by just observing and reading as much as possible. I find that this sharing of knowledge is rare and inspiring in a world filled with so many other negative things to focus on.

Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
