Your problem was most admirably addressed by tcf22 and matthewb in this thread. A diff on the code given here and in that thread shows no real substantial difference -- certainly nothing which would indicate that you had applied the advice given.
Where do you see this progressing from this point?

<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
