It is worth noting that when Stallman agreed to co-operate on this book he did so with the requirement that the book itself was under the GPL, so O'Reilly have put the entire book online as part of their OpenBook initiative.
Personally I read the online one, then ended up buying the paper copy since I did enjoy it.

tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
