http://perldoc.perl.org has had some issues for many years. Previously I've spent some time trying to diagnose and fix some of them, but in these cases couldn't reproduce the problems locally. Fortunately an alternative has been developed. Take a look at https://perldoc.pl.

Update: For clarity, I have nothing to do with perldoc.pl, I just thought the announcement was worth posting here.

Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
