Re: What's wrong with Perl 6?

A few questions that I would ask myself before commiting to go through the learning curve associated with Perl 6 for a new project:

Where can I download a binary install for my system?
Where can I find an indexed language definition?
When will PerlMonks have a dedicated Perl 6 section?
Does it run Ackerman faster that Perl 5 (Java, Ruby, Python)?
Can I spawn threads faster than I can spawn processes?
Can I share a single copy of my complex data structure between those threads?
When will Perl 6 v1.01 become available?
How much of a penalty is my pure Perl 6 code going to pay, for whatever Perl 5 backwards compatibility that is being added?

When will PerlMonks have a dedicated Perl 6 section? Never. But that's not a Perl 6 problem anyway. (As theorbtwo said, posts are not directed into sections by what they are about, but by what type of discourse they are.") A word spoken in Mind will reach its own level, in the objective world, by its own weight	[reply]
