( [id://3333]=superdoc: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??

Often the text of error messages is searchable using search engines such as Google. The trick is to use the portion of the error message that is unlikely to change. So when I pasted "Error: Can't extract files from" into Google (you may be familiar with it), I get the following two links as the first, second, and third hits:

I don't know if any of these will answer your question because... well, you haven't asked a question. But maybe they'll illustrate how the process of researching an error might begin. The next step would be to determine if these are of any help. And if not, come back here asking an actual question, explaining what you've tried, what research you've already done, and what issues you're still seeing.

Title:
Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
  • Want more info? How to link or How to display code and escape characters are good places to start.
