Ever seen UNAUTHORIZED RELEASE on CPAN?
That is forking. Instead of pulling from jettero's github, instead of downloading jettero's UNAUTHORIZED RELEASE, jettero wants to become the official release, so his release shows up in the module list.

have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
