"The child gets a copy of the parent's vars but can never change the parent's copy." explains why the passing of vars *into* the child works, but not the passing of results *out of* the child to parent. --Fundamental, but it wasn't yet clear to me... I will now go to the study and look into various IPC solutions.... In reply to Re: Parallel::ForkManager and vars from the parent script - are they accessible? (or do I need inter process communication?)
