What would the community feel about a filter that when you clicked the "create" button for a node or the "Talk" button for the CB the text was piped through a filter which replaced some letters of the offending word? This functionality could be switched "ON" in the user settings, but would be off by default. (e.g. s/shit/s**t/) etc.
Great idea! Make sure it includes the words I find offensive:
god, guns, children, George W. Bush.

<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
