in reply to YAPC::EUROPE

I've never been there myself. From what I've heard, there are two services, one at 8:00pm, and another at 10:00pm. If you're in the first service they rush you along to get you out the door quickly.

Anyway, if you are attending the conference, you should consider signing up on the mailing list (which is pretty quiet at the moment), which is probably a better venue to discuss these sorts of things.

Send a message with subscribe yapc-paris to majordomo@mongueurs.net to get on the list. (I think the majordomo software on the server has been translated into french, but it's still majordomo underneath, you just have to reply with the auth string as usual).

Oops! obsolete details provided! Please see http://yapc.mongueurs.net/yapc/static/mailing_list.html instead. It's the dircon list you'll be wanting. Thanks.

    Well it's been (too) many years I have been there, but then I didn't remember being rushed and I certainly went there early as I didn't made a reservation.

    Still, things are likely to change.C'est la vie!

    The mailing list is a good-idea, but it would not be limited to PerlMonks at YAPC, would it? But then again, the more the merrier.

    Of course, if you would know of an even more "Monkish"-place to go for dinner, I would bow to your superior local knowledge!
