QandAEditors have the power to do this.

I, personally, haven't chosen to move that to SOPW, but I did clean it up a bit, and kill of its uglier twin.

The question might use a specific filename as an example, but creating filenames with metacharacters in them sounds like a FAQ type question to me.

I'll give it a few more days, to see if any other QandAEditors want to do something about it (or any monks want to answer), and then i'll answer it.

I have /msg'd the author about the site how to and the perl monks faq.

There is a mechanism in place and the node will be taken care of. That's all you need to know ;)
