This was discovered and 'fixed' by vroom from pmdev input. Short story was a DB feature that vroom employed in a recent backend change did not always work as advertized; the fix is currently making sure that feature works with a second process, while vroom continues to try to understand why said feature is failing.

(This is assuming that the usual suspect, that of not having a node ok'd to start with, was already out of the question, given that shotgunefx should be able to see the unapproved nodes given his monk level, and the fact that it got replied to.)
