    You puerile fool; grabbing at straws. I've never been an academic. All of my career has been spent in the commercial world.

    This research is being done in order to find an optimum solution to a large scale and ongoing commercial problem.

    The results of the research will, hopefully, cut my customer's annual electricity bill by millions of pounds. Hence their readiness to throw £1/4 million at researching this optimisation.
