ghosh123 has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi
Can anybody please show me any perl Tk implementation with threads? An example which is demonstrating how using threads in making a gui application using perl tk can cause a better performance than not using threads.

Another question, suppose I have a Tk gui which is not implemented by thread. Can running it on multi-threaded perl version or single-threaded perl version make any difference in its performance even though the implementation of the gui is not using threads. For example if I am running that on 5.10 version which has this when I do perl -V :
archname=i686-linux-thread-multi and these: useithreads=define, usemultiplicity=define
and 5.8.8 which has this :
archname=i686-linux and these:usethreads=undef use5005threads=undef useithreads=undef usemultiplicity=undef
Can there be any difference in performance running on this different perl versions ?
