I know it's been ages since I've seen it, but for the life of me, I can't recall ANYTHING computer-related in Jurassic Park. | [reply] |
This is a bigger point in the book than in the movie. In order to keep personnel costs down, the entire park is heavily automated (with multiple Cray supercomputers). The computer part of the story is how the greedy programmer disables the safety systems so he can make a clandestine meeting, and makes it so that only he can turn them back on (which he can't since he gets eaten) .
