I've been a member of this site for just over 8 years, yet in that time I've only posted about 250 nodes. Mostly because the questions I think I can answer properly tend to have been answered already. Damn timezones ;)

But despite this I still lurk on a daily basis, and I frequently find things that are both educational and interesting.

Perhaps this node is out of place, but I'd like to give thanks to all the Monks who make this such an education site, and an interesting resource. This week I uploaded my first module to CPAN, and I'm both surprised that I've done so, and pleased that I've acquired the ability to do so over the past few years.

(The module? A plugin for somebody else's module, requiring little skill or knowledge. )

Nice to see someone extending an existing module.
I thought composition was the way to go.

Perlmonks is an amazing resource. I just hit my 10th year today, and it is impossible to overstate how much I have learned by reading and posting here over the years.

Here's to the next 10 years!
