in reply to PAR pp macOs set -mmacosx-version-min

Is there a way to set the value of -mmacosx-version-min?

Hi

Yes, reinstall PAR/PAR::Packer, but edit Makefile to modify LD or LDFLAGS variable to add/set  -mmacosx-version-min=

Afterwards use "pp" as normal

    Thank you, beech. I need a bit of advice, as I never edited a Makefile before. The package has two Makefile, but I guess the one that needs editing is the one at the first level inside the package (the second being in folder "myldr"). How/Where do I add the variable -mmacosx-version-min=? I appreciate your help

        No success so far. Exporting export MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET=10.6 does not produce any effect when reinstalling the module cpanm -f PAR::Packer. Reading the environment variables of my open Terminal with:

        foreach (sort keys %ENV) { print "$_ = $ENV{$_}\n"; }

        produces LC_VERSION_MIN_MACOSX  =  10.07 but - after reinstalling the module (I also reinstalled the PAR module, as it must have some influence on the compiler settings), still my binary has

        cmd LC_VERSION_MIN_MACOSX cmdsize 16 version 10.13 sdk 10.13

        I found the following in the Makefile (inside the main folder and milder)

        LDDLFLAGS = -mmacosx-version-min=10.13 -bundle -undefined dynamic_loo +kup -L/usr/local/lib -fstack-protector-strong LDFLAGS = -mmacosx-version-min=10.13 -fstack-protector-strong -L/usr/ +local/lib

        However, changing the value (changed everywhere) and running make -> make test -> make install still generates a binary with the -mmacosx-version-min=10.13 flag. Getting a bit depressed.
