Dec. 31 1969, 7pm EST, I lived in a very different world than today.
I lived in a place where you could still talk to living people who had personally seen the last days of the wild west, other people who had grown up in rural areas with neither running water nor electricity in North America - and to people who were inventing computers, all in the same day.
On Dec. 31 1969, 7pm EST, I lived in a place where one world was about to end, and a whole new one about to explode.
Whether that was a good thing or not depends on my mood one day to the next.
