Either your email address was typed incorrectly, or maybe your mail provider is blocking emails from perlmonks?

If the latter, try creating a new email account that works (for instance at hotmail - you'll only need it once).

    In attempting to register with perlmonks, I've used two different mail providers over the years, and haven't succeeded with either one. One of them, verizon.net, is very big, and I'm sure there must be other monks for whom it is the provider.

    This morning I am trying yet again to register.

      And this time it worked! Thanks to those who responded.

      (Sigh of relief.)

    In addition, you might want to check that your client is not blocking or moving the mail. I have seen this sort of issue many times with both the Outlook Express and Yahoo Web clients.
