Isn't there something else in there about it being easier to fit a camel through the eye of a needle than it is to get the threading model right?

Well, in this Monastery we strive for wisdom, which seems to be more important than pe(a)rls or even rubies.
Job 28:19
No mention shall be made of coral, or of pearls:
for the price of wisdom is above rubies.
And of course pe(a)rls should not be given to the swines. I guess that means that only the wise should have them. It is clear pe(a)rls have a lot to do with beauty and wisdom and the ultimate that can be obtained.

I don't like the part where women are denied (or restricted in the way they may approach) the beauty and wisdom of pe(a)rls...

Maybe Larry should have stuck with the name Gloria. I don't recall anything in the bible saying 'Cast not ye Glorias before the swine' or anything like that.

I don't know that the Bible is so much against women women using pe(a)rl. After all it's arrays are much less costly than some other languages out there (PHP, for instance). And you can do so many good works with pe(a)rl.

I believe the verse is stating that the Pharisees are swallowing a camel (taking in large amounts of money) and straining a gnat (giving back very small amounts of money to the hungry and poor) The straining part means they are forcing themselves to give a very tiny bit of money out. I thank the Lord God for giving me understanding on this matter. The phrase “strain at a gnat” simply means to “choke” at something as small as a gnat. The verse would simply mean that the Pharisees are on the height of their hypocrisy since they easily choke at a gnat but they can readily swallow a camel.
