My custom CSS in my display settings prevents code blocks from pushing out the sidebars. There's a good chance you wouldn't like the color scheme or some of my other decisions, but if you'd like I'd be happy to share. The relevant parts of course could be separated out.

Curiosity often gets the better of me. Sure, I wouldn't mind looking if you don't mind sharing. If I'm too dumb to figure it out no harm done :-).

I pretty much always pick dark backgrounds and color schemes, at least whenever possible. I also disconnect most of the lights around me that I can't simply turn off and coworkers think I'm nuts. I had what's called PRK done a long time ago, and although I'm really happy with it overall I do now get really bad fatigue (pain) behind my eyeballs if I spend too long staring at bright computer screens in bright lighting.

Sorry I took so long to get back to you. I've been away from the site a while. My CSS is available on my scratchpad.

Like I said, this is how I read the site. You may want to tweak it a lot or keep just a bit and throw the rest away. The most relevant parts right now are the stuff that sets up scrolling for things that normally overflow to the side. I'm sure there are even more places that concept can be applied.
