( [id://3333]=superdoc: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??
I could tell you how to learn Perl. But as for telling you how to create the game you'd like to make is way beyond the scope of PM.

The first thing you need to do is get a book. I recomend Learning Perl from O'Reilly written by Randal L Schwartz (merlyn) and Tom Christiansen. Read through the book and get an understanding of the basics of perl. You might also like to goto the Tutorials section of PM and read through those as well. Once you have the basics down, then you can create the scripts yourself.

Something as big as what your asking for isn't going to be picked up by someone and done for free. The size, scale and magnitude of a game takes a lot of thought, preparation, knowlege and skill to create it. I'm not trying to dissuade you from trying to create what you'd like to do. I'm letting you know what you have ahead of you.

Good luck,
BMaximus

Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
