All,
This news was already posted by adamk at use.perl. I am duplicating the news here against the guidance for this section because if you still follow use.perl - you will know that people have been abandoning it like a sinking ship. Adam has been working with Microsoft to offer 7 different machines with various flavors of Windows on it so that CPAN developers can test their code before releasing it to CPAN. Of course CPAN testers will report when a module fails tests on a particular architecture but it doesn't help the module author if they don't have access to that environment. This is Adam's attempt to remedy that. Operating system personal preference and flame wars aside, this is a good thing. Now I just hope the 6 months Adam spent isn't wasted because no one bothers to use it. Cheers - L~R In reply to No More Excuses For Not Testing Modules On Windows by Limbic~Region
