( [id://3333]=superdoc: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??

Only just seen this. I'm shocked to say the least, as I haven't been reading PerlMonks or London.pm for a few weeks. Ivor was one of the good guys and I've very glad to have know him. I have good memories of him trying to convince me that I should try some Real Ale instead of Guinness :)

I meant to catchup with him at a London.pm meeting more recently, as he was missed at YAPC::NA 2008. For the previous 3 years he and I were pretty much the regular Brit attendees. Our last sightseeing expedition was with Karsten, Cog and Abigail at the NASA Space Centre in Houston (here Ivor is second from the left).

Farewell my friend, you'll be missed.

Title:
Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
  • Want more info? How to link or How to display code and escape characters are good places to start.
