For testing windows applications Win32::GuiTest may be worth looking at. See Automated GUI Testing or super seach for more. Testing web based applications may be a little tricker (as you may have noticed from your previous post). People use things like WWW::Mechanize, or if you need to test something which uses JavaScript/AJAX Limbic~Region wrote the tutorial Using WWW::Selenium To Test Or Automate An Ajax Website which should be of interest.
