One comparison that I'd suggest is the creativity of both programming languages (especially Perl) and human only languages. Just look at all the creative obfuscated posts, Perl poems, song lyrics written in Perl, not to mention all the creativity that happens daily in normal coding.
Sometimes the "laity" think of programming as dull, boring and as far from creative as it gets. If they only knew how wrong they are.

<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
