Having said that...Inline::Python lets you run Python code directly in your Perl. Much MUCH worse is Language::Pythonesque, which allows you to do something sorta like Python source into Perl (a little bit, anyway...) because Damian Conway's a sick bastard.

Also, it's been mentioned by Larry that Perl 6 will be able to take other syntaxes (like Microsoft's .NET and the like) and convert them into Perl 6 "code":

First, Perl will support multiple syntaxes that map onto a single semantic model. Second, that single semantic model will in turn map to multiple platforms.

This is something that's being done now, as shown by Damian.

Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
