( [id://3333]=superdoc: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??

Visual Basic... hmm. I think it was three or so years back when I learned VB, and about six years ago when I learned just plain B(ASIC). HTML and JS I can do OK, but not expertly.

I really should install Linux, or another one of the free Unixen, on my machine... but, unfortunately, I have an obscure (read: unsupported) video card which won't work without the latest X, and since I'm 12, I'm not exactly free to just go and get the latest distribution. I could theoretically download it, but my Net connection is currently a 56k modem. Fortunately I have a good high-speed connection through the university, and some CD-Rs. Maybe I can fetch it through one of the labs on campus into a CD-R and use that.

Of course, then there's also C(++), (Emacs) Lisp, Perl (obviously), Java, and bits of sed, sh, VRML, Z80 ASM, TI C, TI-Basic...

Title:
Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
  • Want more info? How to link or How to display code and escape characters are good places to start.
