Hey, you missed my favorite web browser: Telnet.
Why, that's how I'm reading perlmonks right now.. just did a telnet www.perlmonks.org 80 get / Of course, it gets tiring having to do that for each page I want to load.. and I won't even begin to tell you how time-consuming it was to write this and then send it up to the server...

<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
