well, I have a package that has a few separate programs, and I want the variables to be shared by all of them. I use my for local variables, but the variables that i want shared i just dont declare... i tried to use our on them, but it had unintended consequences that I couldn't figure out...

Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
