Actually, I was debating about the Intel Mac. I was given to understand that the clock speed on a Mac is actually much faster than the same clock speed on a Wintel box for reasons that escape me. Now that Macs are using Intel processors, is the distinction gone? Or was the reason that the Mac OS simply runs faster than Windows, making more efficient use of the CPU? Or was it all a load to begin with?
If I opt for the Intel version, what am I really getting (besides Boot Camp)?

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
