Oh no!!! I am not going down that road. I have already seen File::Type on CPAN, but am just concerned about stability issues. This script will be running every once in a while and it just has to be dependable. Thats my only concerns. If it comes to it, I would rather sacrifice time and bandwidth in just mirroring whole directories, since it is on the local network. I was just hoping to get some recomendations on any other modules that people might already be familiar with. Thanks anyway

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
