My code is working

Try and run it. It does not compile.

My code is working

Fix the compiler errors and then fix the logical errors so it produces what you say it should.

My code is working

Your code is most certainly not working. Just look at the loop and tell me how many loops you will get for $step = 1000 and numOfMembers = 1000. I get 1 loop, how about you? Don't see that adding 1000 members......

for (my $i=2; $i<=$numOfMembers; $i+=$step) {

cheers

Title:
Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong>   <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
