Venerable ones, I'm developing some GUI frontends to submit and monitor some batch jobs on Linux/KDE and natch want to use Perl.. my first venture into GUIs. I've looked at Tk and Qt.. any others ? Any opinions out there on comparative merits, or any published articles ? I need commercial-quality appearance, and have found it difficult to control colors in things like file-selection widgets in Tk (some options seem lacking).

Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
