( #3333=superdoc: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??

FWI, no e-mails have been sent to the e-mail address you gave (over the last few years). Only one "jkeen" e-mail was sent, but it was to a different domain. Not much other investigation I can think to do at this point since you didn't give me much to go on.

I fill in my username and e-mail address, click on the link that calls me a cowboy

Perhaps you should read the instructions: "one of the following blanks" (extra emphasis added by me to the emphasis copied from the original instructions).

Looking at the code, it appears to ignore the e-mail address if you enter a monkname (so perhaps you entered the e-mail address incorrectly when you created the user). So, if you want someone to help you with this, you're going to have to tell us what username(s) you were trying to register.

BTW, I'd like to revamp new user creation so that monknames don't get tied up when the e-mail doesn't get retrieved.

I'm sorry you've had so little success with this. I don't have an e-mail account at the moment so it is quite inconvenient for my to try e-mailing you. Sorry.

Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
