Call me paranoid, but does this smell like homework to you?
Update: The title of the node and the text has been changed to indicate that this is indeed homework. Original node title was Regex, and there was absolutley no indication that this was homework. The original poster should have indicated that the node had been updated so that I didn't end up with all these blasted '--'.

<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
