( [id://3333]=superdoc: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??

isprat,

Actually Tripod had been great for me up until this point. You can solve the above error by uploading the strict module to "/cgi-bin" in your friend's directory. The @INC error has been helpful to me in that it tells me what module I'm missing, and then I upload it. Try it again for your friend and I think you'll find that it works fine.

Actually, I'm using the free web hosting option on Tripod and was pleasantly suprised to learn that it lets me use Perl scripts. My regular ISP, which I pay for, doesn' give me this capability. Tripod's servers don't appear to be slow at any time and they respond to requests for help extremely rapidly, even for free users.

Thanks,

Anne

Title:
Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
  • Want more info? How to link or How to display code and escape characters are good places to start.
