I've never been there myself. From what I've heard, there are two services, one at 8:00pm, and another at 10:00pm. If you're in the first service they rush you along to get you out the door quickly.
Anyway, if you are attending the conference, you should consider signing up on the mailing list (which is pretty quiet at the moment), which is probably a better venue to discuss these sorts of things.
Send a message with subscribe yapc-paris to email@example.com to get on the list. (I think the majordomo software on the server has been translated into french, but it's still majordomo underneath, you just have to reply with the auth string as usual).
