Why is PM not another Slash site? It appears that some of the people behind this site (e.g. chromatic) have a hand in the development of Slash, yet PM is running the Everything engine. Why? Why not use Slash? Couldn't we customize Slash to fit our needs? It seems silly that we are a Perl site and even the image of CowboyNeal graces our pages, yet we are not using Slash. . . . Just curious.
Also I like the idea of journals. use.perl has journals, but we are suppose to be the Perl community site. Shouldn't we also have journals?

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
