( [id://3333]=superdoc: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??

This is a great product at any price!

A word of warning: I tried to buy this from a local Half Price Books.

I got it up to the register. The man rang it up, placed it in a bag and handed me the bag. I asked him to get the CD for me. He says, "What CD?" I reply, "The CD that I just purchased." He pulls out the package, looks at it and says, "Oh! It does have a CD. It's inside." I said, "Really? Show me." He opens the package, pulls out the book and thumbs through it. Then he says, "it must be here somewhere. Let me look for it." Twenty minutes later the clerk comes back and tells me that he can't find it. I tell him to get the manager. The manager tells me that he will give me 50% of the purchase price if I take it as is. I tried to explain to the manager that the book was a freebie. "The book is free when I purchase the CD, not the other way around."

They have yet to get a replacement copy.

Title:
Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
  • Want more info? How to link or How to display code and escape characters are good places to start.
