$SIG{__DIE__} = sub {
my ( $path, $line, $subr );
my $i = 0;
while ( $subr = (caller($i++))[3] ) {
return if $subr eq '(eval)';
}
warn "died at: ", join(' line ', (caller)[1,2]), "\n";
$i = 1;
while ( ($path, $line) = (caller($i++))[1,2] ) {
warn "caller: $path line $line\n";
}
};
I am not sure if this runs on Win32.

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
