Most often, for me anyway, it boils down to "just keep going anyway" and fairly soon, through the problem solving, testing, etc., the 'mood' issue seems to disappear. I've always taken this to mean that my own self-discipline has to overcome my inner-sloth... :) I've yet to find a motivation outside of myself that was more effective (for my own projects). And, learning the skill of overcoming 'myself' has been important to me in a wide variety of ways.

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
