Talking about Parrot seems pretty safe -- it's not much different (in theory) than talking about XS or perlguts.
The stranger possibility is talking about more than one implementation of Perl 6. The Python community has C-Python, J-Python and Stackless Python. The Java community has dozens of implementations. How would the Perl community react to multiple implementations of Perl?
