Announcement from svpm:
Tuesday, June 4, 7 pm
Speaker: Jeremy Zawodny, Yahoo
Jeremy will talk about using Perl and MySQL in a mission-critical
environment. He is one of the early adopters of MySQL replication and
also has some interesting ideas on database programming error recovery
and encapsulation. Jeremy is also a long-time CPAN author, apparently with
a METAR weather module that competes with mine!

I've never met Jeremy, but I noticed his name
on Ask Slashdot earlier today. I'll be at the talk on Tuesday, so
if you're in the area drop on by and say Hi.

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
