( #3333=superdoc: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??
Well. . . the name CromeDome originates somewhere around the second grade for me, right during that time when that awful G.I. Joe cartoon was airing (remember? trying to depict modern warfare in a cartoon setting, yet there were never any injuries or casultlies? Yeah, I thought so).

Anyway, during one of those episodes, one of the Joe grunts referred to the Cobra Commander as "Chrome Dome". My friend Nate just thought that was the funniest thing. And, considering I have a remarkably similar last name (Crome), he decided to start calling me "Crome Dome".

This went on for several years before the name kind of faded into memory.

In recent years, however, I've resurrected the name for use in LAN parties, for use on instant messenging programs, web sites, and the like. Unfortunately, CromeDome was already taken on PerlMonks when I got here :( More suckingly is that the guy who has it posted once, and has been gone since November 14, 2000. And so I'm MrCromeDome here.

And that is the sad, boring story of my name :P

MrCromeDome

Title:
Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
  • Want more info? How to link or or How to display code and escape characters are good places to start.
