I think calling that thread a 'discussion' is overstating things a bit.
The whole ISBN/Fatbrain/B&N thing was very tersely described
and there was no particular resolution mentioned in it.
No doubt a number of smart, hardworking saints who are 'in the know' will have
fully understood it, but I doubt many others would have. I also
can't find any reference to footpad fixing the isbn:// tag
anywhere on this site.
It seems obvious to me that scottstef was only trying
to be helpful. When
I first saw the root node of this thread, it was at -3.
This looks like lame, and maybe even spiteful, downvoting to
me.

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
