( [id://3333]=superdoc: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??
Wanted to jump in and explain my name as well. My first name is Desiree, which thankfully due to the gods of my world has over the course of time been shortened to dez. I am known to many by dez and only people who do not know me to well still use the name Desiree. The basic comes in with a simple explanation of the fact that I am nothing more than a WYSIWIG person. I have no hidden agendas nothing fancy and wysiwigdez never really seemed proper, plus I have a deep and personal attachment to a special piece of literature titled the "Basic Text", thus basicdez has been my logon for years (6 anyhow). Thanks for listening. Now back to researching perl.

Title:
Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
  • Want more info? How to link or How to display code and escape characters are good places to start.
