Thanks so much. I found that there is a file in my iMac /Users/user_name/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music Library.xml. I have also looked at the XML file and found how the track and it's ids are associated in the playlist. I'll play around.

Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
